So Kaitlyn turned four on January 27th and we decided that it was time she had a real birthday party with friends from preschool and church. She decided she had to have a dinosaur party.
This was her cake. I found the idea online. I thought it turned out to be a fun cake, but next time I'll use a different cake recipe. The head fell apart which frustrated me.
Playing "Dinosaur, Dinosaur where's your bone?"
Trying to keep the balloons off the ground.
Playing "Dinosaur Says"... put your claw in the air.
Stomp in a circle.
Snack time. We were herbivores.
Opening presents. It was interesting having so many four- year old helping hands.
Kaitlyn's favorite gift: a Webkinz dog from Jaylen.
Getting ready to blow out the candles. We had handy helpers for that, too.
Overall the party was really fun. In fact, one little boy told me as he was leaving that it was the "funnest" birthday party he'd ever been at. I'm glad.
Kaitlyn got a new bike from us. She's been riding it all around the house... let me just say that I can't wait for spring.
These are a few things I love about my Kaitlyn:
-her laugh, especially when she really gets going
-her beautiful, big blue eyes
-how much she loves her sisters
-the original, amazing things that she says
-her hugs
-her willingness to share
-she reminds me of... me.
(Really, she looks just like I did at her age and her personality is a lot like mine.)
I have been so blessed to be Kaitlyn's mom.
