My Kaitlyn Turns Three

Kaitlyn wanted to go to the Children's Museum for her birthday, so we went this last Saturday. The girlies started out by dressing up as the cutest little firemen you'd ever see.

They helped put out a fire...
And they loved the Dalmation!
Even Avery joined in.

Kaitlyn loved working in the garden picking vegetables.

Avery had so much fun showing off her new skill... crawling.

Kaitlyn's favorite thing right now is dinosaurs.

Kaitlyn getting her groove on.

Laura loved the mirrors.

I think their favorite part was painting.

Our little artists.

Daddy and Avery...

Avery and Mommy.

Laura the mouse (we thought it was an oppossum).

Kaitlyn the rabbit.

We had such a fun day as a family. I am so thankful for my little Kaitlyn girl. We have had some interesting experiences with her (like the time part of her finger was cut off) and I am amazed at how much she has grown, physically and mentally, over the past year. I love her so very much.

Avery the Big Girl...

Avery absolutely loves to do things with her big sisters. Some mornings Aaron and I like to put a movie on in Laura and Kaitlyn's room so they stay calm and quiet for a little while longer. While they were watching "Max and Ruby" (one of their favorites), Aaron decided to let Avery join them. She loved being included, especially since they tend to ignore her, that is until they want to pester her. So Aaron got these photos of Avery spending "big girl" time with her best buds.

Finally I Can Catch Up!

Unfortunately all of our Christmas photos got messed up when they were developed, so I'm unable to post those. I found a few... Laura and Kaitlyn's Grandma West made them the dresses... and they wore them every day for the next week or so. They always love it when their Grandma makes them clothes. Avery had a lot of fun on her first Christmas. She ended up crying after the first half hour or so because she was a little overwhelmed, but she was perfectly content to sit on her Dad's shoulders. Our girlies did a good job remembering what Christmas is about this year. We did a scripture countdown to Christmas Day using an idea from their Friend magazine. Cortney and Denton spent about two weeks with us, which was AWESOME! We don't know what to do with ourselves nowadays with no one to play Cranium with.
